Install

Contour ships as a signed, notarized macOS installer. One .pkg installs all three plugin formats — AU, VST3, and CLAP — for both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

  1. Download the installer

    Your download link arrives by email after purchase. It contains Contour-<version>-macos-universal.pkg and a README.

  2. Run the package

    Double-click the .pkg and follow the prompts. The installer is notarized by Apple; Gatekeeper will not block it.

  3. Rescan plugins in your DAW

    Start your DAW. Most hosts pick up new plugins on launch. If Contour does not appear, trigger a plugin rescan in your DAW's preferences.

  4. Load Contour on an audio track

    Contour is an audio effect: it listens to the track's input signal. Insert it on the track carrying your microphone or instrument.
