Contour

Changelog

What shipped.

v0.1.4 2026-08-27

Notes now release to silence. 0.1.3 could leave a quiet tone hanging after you stopped, or restart the last pitch from room bleed. Breath and air during a phrase still follow the performance.

v0.1.5 2026-08-27

Contour after a MIDI piano no longer jumps an octave or lags on fast arpeggios and wide leaps. The previous note's ringing tail no longer holds the pitch. Sax and voice tracking is unchanged.

v0.1.2 2026-08-14

Synth volume now follows how loud you play, 1 dB in to 1 dB out. 0.1.1 treated the loudness contour as a linear gain, which compressed forte and piano toward the same level. After a note has started, amplitude keeps following the performance even if pitch tracking drops for a moment, so short notes keep their decay. Sounds that never lock a pitch stay silent.

Playing at a normal level will come out quieter than in 0.1.1; turn Gain up if you want the old peak loudness back.

v0.1.3 2026-08-14

The synth now has a room. EFFECTS gained Mix and Size knobs; Mix 0 is still dry. Glide Pad sits in a small space by default. Delay echoes bloom into the room instead of hanging as dry repeats.

v0.1.1 2026-08-11

Version stamp on the installer and plug-in bundles, so builds are no longer all labeled 0.1.0. Installer copy now leads with the standalone app as a complete instrument; the AU / VST3 / CLAP plug-ins are the DAW alternative.

v0.1.0 2026-07-20

First beta. Universal macOS build (Apple Silicon + Intel). AU, VST3, and CLAP in one installer. Pitch, envelope and transient drive the built-in subtractive synth; brightness, noisiness and vibrato are tracked but not yet routed into it.
